Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Tacoma Commercial Cleaning wants every visitor to be able to use this website, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, a magnifier, or with colour and motion sensitivities. This page sets out the accessibility work that has been carried out on the site, what we know is still imperfect, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

What we aimed at

We worked to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as our reference standard. This statement is a description of the work carried out and the checks we ran. It is not a certification, an independent audit result, or a claim of compliance with any law or regulation.

Keyboard access and focus

Every page starts with a “Skip to main content” link, so keyboard and screen reader users can jump straight past the header navigation to the page content. The link stays out of the way until it receives focus, then appears at the top of the page. Interactive elements show a visible focus outline as you tab through them, and the navigation marks the page you are currently on, so your position is announced rather than guessed.

Structure and headings

Each page declares its language, uses one main heading, and follows a heading order that steps down without skipping levels, so a screen reader can build a sensible outline. Page regions are marked up as real landmarks, with the navigation, main content and footer each identified, which makes it possible to move between them directly instead of reading through everything.

Text and colour

Text and background colour combinations across the site were measured and adjusted where needed to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios: 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Text is real text rather than pictures of words, so it reflows and stays sharp when you zoom in or increase your font size. Icons and glyphs that carry no meaning are hidden from assistive technology, so they are not read out as noise.

Images

Every image on the site carries alternative text. Images that convey information describe it, and images that are purely decorative are marked as such, so a screen reader passes over them instead of announcing a filename.

Media

Nothing on this site plays audio or video automatically, so no sound starts without you asking for it.

Known limitations

There is no online enquiry form on the site at present, so getting in touch means using the phone number or the email address below. If a form would be easier for you, please tell us and we will take it into account. We used a combination of automated checking and manual review, and we know that neither catches everything: if you meet a barrier we have missed, we would rather hear about it than not.

Tell us if something is wrong

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please get in touch and tell us what happened and what you were trying to do. Call (253) 319-3050 or email [email protected]. We will do our best to help you get the information you need another way, and to put the problem right on the site.
